This genuine antique 18ct Yellow Gold Victorian Turquoise and Pearl pendant is Circa 1880.
Five Turquoise stones adorn this lovely pendant and complimented by rich creamy Pearls.
The Turquoise is said to have healing properties, it protects the wearer from negative energy and brings good fortune. Turquoise is the symbol of friendship, it brings peace to the home and has long being a symbol of forget me not.
"Forget-me-not, O Lord!" is what a poor German knight shouted as he fell into a river. He and his lady were picking flowers by the side of the river at the time when the poor knight suddenly fell in and sank to the bottom.
Upon his cries to the Lord, he threw the blue posy of flowers to his loved one. Hence, the concept of remembrance, eternal love and faithfulness grow from this.
