A wonderful Antique late Victorian crescent pendant lined with lustrous Pearls with a six pointed star in the centre also dotted with Pearls and a sparkling 0.20ct Old cut Diamond.
Star and Moon images became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Crescent moons were a symbol of the feminine moon goddess and represented change and female empowerment in the Victorian Era.
The pendant is all 18ct Yellow Gold and in excellent condition. It’s very pretty and would look beautiful on a gold chain.
