An exquisite pair of antique Georgian earrings set with clusters of flat, cushion and round cut garnets with a bright cherry-pink hue. They’re set in open-work silver galleries with faded yellow gold gilt across the back and hooks.
Garnet is the birthstone of January and has been desired throughout history for its strength and blazing crimson-red or cherry-pink flame that glows beneath its dark exterior. It’s considered a stone of the heart and is symbolic of passion and enduring love.
The pair have been beautifully preserved since the early 19th Century and display a gorgeous collection of old garnets that flicker beautifully in the light.
